Gunnercooke Website design for a top 100 law firm

Gunnercooke are a top 100 law firm with an innovative model – all of their lawyers have over 10,000 hours experience and employ fixed fees. After a recent brand re-fresh, they approached design studio Superfried to develop the design for their new website.

With over 100 lawyers working across every business sector, the main challenge was to develop a strategy to organise and manage the volume of data. This was essential to ensure the information design and usability could be maintained via a clean, organised structure and menu system.

To ensure the best strategy was employed, intense research of complex site systems was conducted in addition to client involvement through out the design process via prototyping. This ensured we understood exactly how potential clients would search for and hire lawyers, before we passed the designs onto their development team.

With the architecture established, design of the content and application of the new branding scheme could commence. The new design style featured an angled graphic device. Although more technically challenging, application of the style would greatly enhance the design and convey the identity. Close collaboration with the developers was maintained to ensure any design features would not impede the responsive performance of the site.
